That's very natural, and that's the very education we all get. But it's not
very useful, because in a way it's like visiting twenty medical doctors,
witches, friends and strangers, asking them all what to do with a certain
illness one is feeling - and then deciding on one's own what to do with all
that.

to learn something new (hopefully with ice cream involved;-):
Are you sure about the not useful part? I hold to the idea that anything we
believe from the place of feeling is true. And I am aware we are all still
human.
A personal experience, right in line with your example.
I am diabetic. I used to have to take insulin. I don't anymore.
I have type 1 diabetes. Type 1 is caused by an Auto Immune Disease. The body
attacks another part of itself. AIM is also responsible for juvenile
arthritis, crones disease and half a dozen other nice childrens diseases. (I
often wonder if it is a result of self destructive thoughts)
Type 1's take insulin. I lost less than half of my beta cells. Thats a good
thing so it turns out. As long as my weight is a certain level and my
activity level is certain place and I don't let myself get overly stressed,
my body can handle the insulin requirements for the most part.
Now I didn't know any of that when I was diagnosed. I did what my doctors
told me to do and really tried hard. Within 3 years I was 80 pounds over
weight. Making my insulin requirements higher with every pound. The harder I
tried, the sicker I got. I was ready for answers. I was always open to
advice. I tend to be a pro active sort.
Where I finally found the answers, was to ask everyone with ANY knowledge of
the situation, what they thought. Eventually after a lot of trial and error,
alot of figuring out if this feels right or if that is something I can
believe, I found a good enough balance of information. Who could know better
than I how my body feels?
I looked in the medical profession, world of spirit, herbal ways, food
chemistry, aerobic chemistry, common sense, meditative ways, etc...
They were all a piece of the puzzle for me. And I learned so very much more
in my journey. It was a divine challenge.
I guess where I land with all this is; because of my driving love to learn,
I believe that I will find answers through learning as much as possible.
That is the reality I create for myself, and at that junction, we are on the
same path...
It's just that I create the more complicated way... For me, that is
entertainment.
Guess my time is up.
Nice to meet ya!!
