Dear Harish
If you love God, if and when necessary, He will awaken the kundalini.
If you forcibly awaken, the subconscious impressions will explode which are difficult to tackle.
But, when you are under the conscious guidance of a Realised Kundalini Yoga Master, it is altogether different.
However, if you still want to awaken it all by yourself, you can do the following:
1 Make the most ordinary daily life actions into an offering for God.
2 Focus fully on actions arriving of themselves before you. Do not have initiative. Keep doing the necessary and obligatory tasks.
3 Do not desire for fruits. Keep aspiring for full understanding of all that you learn and do.
4 Complete fully every necessary and obligatory task that presents itself before you of its own accord.
5 Do not think for more than a week before or ahead. Keep your attention always in the 'now'.
6 Merge the essence of all separate spiritual activities into your daily life ordinary activities
7 Thus, release time from the separate religious activities by merging them back into daily life.
8 Never work too hard. Leisure and work have to be balanced.
9 Never accept any idea from the society. Never reject any idea as well. Just always gently enquire 'Is this so?'
Thus, consciously disengage yourself from the group-ind of the society around.
10 Keep up this flame of enquiry 'Is that so?' as a never-quenchable aspiration,
and ascertain the truth or the extent of truth of the idea directly by having personal access to the scriptures.
11 Apply what you have learnt through scriptures and Self-Realised Sages in daily life.
12 Do not allow time or thought to intervene between your gaining these Real Ideas and applying them for the first time
13 Assimilate the resulting powerful turn of circumstances and people into your psyche and grow from within
14 Strengthen your understanding by reapplying the Ideas after assimilating the resultant Force of the first application
15 Infinitely be pliable and adjust your force of action based on the Way Infinity unfolds itself and functions in your ordinary life.
16 Develop the capacity to observe the Infinite Force that is masked by external circumstances
17 Open yourself to all religious systems and absorb their essence into your daily life
18 Adopt the central tendency of performing actions that benefit you and the world around.
19 Never give place to the extremes of selfishness or selflessness. Learn to be selflessly selfish.
20 Look behind all events and circumstances and see with the inner eye, the Force of God sustaining them
21 Surrender to that Force behind the outer Form, remaining alert in a state of discrimination between the true and the false.
22 Be affectionately detached. And, Regularly be in good association.
23 Like for example, regularly attend the Self-Realised Sri Ramesh Balsekar's Sunday morning 9 am Satsangs in Mumbai.
24 Take the clue from behind ordinary life. If you are a Hindu, and you happen to come to know a Hindu who has married a Muslim,
and is battling with religious dogmas in personal life, take the clue that infinity wants you to assimilate Islam. So, take up the Holy Quran, read and assimilate it into daily life.
25 Be like the vast ocean admitting everything into yourself and merging them into your real Being.

This contains my translation into English from Tamil of that great work.
It is a masterpiece on doing Self-Enquiry by Saint Sri Sadhu Aum, who practised Self-Enquiry and
attained Self-Realisation.
Finally, kundalini will be awakened and managed smoothly but indirectly during the above process.
May God be with you. In the meanwhile, if you find your Guru, then He will take it over.
