On 2002/07/28 06:58, Shellelr posted thus to the K-list: Hello everyone,
a few months ago when we were talking about good music for K folks. I
heartily recommended the spiritual folk music of Dave Carter and Tracy
Grammer. Well, week before last Dave Carter unexpectedly died of a massive
heart attack at age 49. On their website, about halfway down the homepage,
his partner Tracy has posted a letter about the moment of his dying that is
so beautiful and moving. I urge anyone here so inclined to read it at
www.daveandtracy.com
While you're at their site, do yourself a favor. Click on the "music" link
and read the lyrics to these songs: The Mountain (a favorite of Joan Baez and
the Dalai Lama), Ordinary Town, Gentle Arms of Eden, and When I Go. You may
find your own k-ignited self in his poetry, as I did. Hearing these words
as songs is even better.
I pass this treasure with love to anyone here who will take it.
Shelle
