I'm glad the site was of interest. :)
I'm not sure I understood the first part of your question. The several
bodies you can project into, arent bodies of entities seperate from you. The
idea is you are fragmented into many levels of awarenss and existing on all
of them simultaneously. Although technically they are all made of the same
underlying energy, they appear in different densities or frequencies which
are vastly different from each other.

The idea in projecting into higher bodies, is to shed temporarily the lower
body, by collecting energy of the next plane into a suitable second body. If
you can succesfuly enter a trance state and have considerable visualization
skills, your chakras will (or can) open considerably and begin absorbing
energy- which will be harnessed for temporary astral travel. If you practise
this projection on a very regular basis over a long time, and do daily
meditation and concentration techniques, you will be able to strengthen your
chakras to points where they can absorb increasingly large amounts of
energy, which will allow you to move up to the next plane. Or this is the
idea behind projection anyways.

The controlling of other individuals through will and energy manipulation is
called mesmerism. Is this what you were talking about? Mesmerism isnt
related to hypnotism. It involves removing some one's etheric fluid
connected to nerves in the physical body, and temporarily replacing it with
your own, while you still maintain control over it.
