Good idea! :)) There are so many books on Kundalini now, that it is pretty
hard for newcomers to figure out which ones to start with. I haven't kept up
with some of the latest books, but my "basic book" list is as follows:

Bonnie Greenwell's book *Energies of Transformation*

Lee Sannella's *The Kundalini Experience* both of these are really good for
an overall view of Kundalini. Lee Sannella's book for its more scientific
approach and for its article by Bentov.

*Kundalini Awakening: A Gentle Guide to Chakra Activation and Spirtual
Growth* by John Selby as a good overall guide.

Gopi Krishna's book can scare people. He had a difficult time of it--and
couldn't find anyone to help. (No K lists back then! :)) ) But it is good,
interesting reading.

*Kundalini Evolution and Enlightenment* Edited by John White,

Other books:

*A Guide to Shaktipat* by Swami Shivom Tirth. Full of odd bits and pieces of
info.

*What is Enlightenment* ed by John White

Muktananda's *Kundalini the secret of life* or *Play of Consciousness."

Patricia Treece's *The Sanctified Body*.

*Awakening the Life Force, The Philosophy and Psychology of "Spontaneous
Yoga"* by Swami Rajarshi Muni. I'm not sure how available this one is. Full
of interesting info.

And last but not least, *Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi* or the more easily
accessible *Be as you Are The teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi* by David
Godman.
