The real understanding of reincarnation
held by the great eastern sages
was different than the idea of it held
by the 'common folk'.

The commoners viewed it literally
with respect to a specific ego with
specific qualities going 'round & 'round
between planes.

Whereas the enlightened ones
saw reincarnation more like
water evaporating into sky
coming back as rain
living in ponds, lakes, rivers and the ocean...

No concept of quantity
here.
