Hi! Welcome back.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but thought I would send it on
anyway. It held meaning for me and my partner.
A bunch of months ago, there was this song on the radio. Wayne and I had
never heard it before. We spent months looking for it at record stores. It
was a wonderful song. David Bryne's 'Like humans do.' Off the album 'Look
into the eye ball.'
We finally did find it.
About 3 weeks later, a blaze distroyed Wayne's house and all of the
contents. Yup the CD we had searched for was gone to.
The insurance adjuster was a dream come true, and sent Wayne to a guy he did
business with regularly. He got a new computer within a few days of the
fire. On that computer, out of literally millions of possible songs that
could have been used as the example on the cd software, was that very song
we had hunted for... I can't find words to express our astonishment. It was
a marker of comfort to us.
There were many strange things surrounding the fire. Like the lights at my
house that had been flickering for a week, and suddenly stopped the day of
the fire. I won't go into them all just now, there were a lot of them.
The aftermath of the fire has gone rather (almost eerily) smooth. It has
been a time of great celebration of life for Wayne and I. Our growth has
been exponential in the wake of it.
With the exception of the fire and loss itself, the gifts we have been given
through this make this experience VERY far from a tragedy. It has infact,
turned out to be a very good thing.
Like Jack Radics sings 'sometimes your nightmares turn into your dreams.'
You just never know what will happen when you step out of your fire.
Sometimes you find a rainbow with a pot of gold and honey.
