Subject: [K-list] What I think about saviour stuff...

I had a lot of dreams when I was 4 and 5 of leading people to higher ground
so to speak.
Then in the winter of '01' I went to Gremany and a Feng Shui Master, a
friend of a friend, took me on my first inner journey that wasn't
spontaneous, where the two of us talked with one of my guides.
I asked my guide what it is that I was supposed to do in my life, at the
Masters urging. The reply I got was, 'lead your people.'
That was troubling for me in many ways. I said 'no' to the guide a couple of
times before I finally shut up.
Anyway, I've had in my life time well over 20 years in the personal growth
industry. Mostly spent trying to 'fix' what was wrong with me so I could fit
in. Probably the most valuable lesson I learned in all those years, is the
value of leading by example.
So I applied that principle to what my guide said and began working harder
than ever on myself. The only way I want to or could IMHO lead is by
example. Followers, folks who just do as you say, have no appeal to me.
Since that time, I have met many folks like me. Special because they want to
and, to one degree or another, are awake. They want to lead by example, not
by convincing folks they know something no one else does.
We have (my friends and I) since come to believe that the call to 'rescue',
'save' and 'lead' all the hapless 'unawake' folks is not really what those
messages were about. Everyone of my friends have had such calls.
I seems to us, that the true nature of those visions, dreams and desires, is
a call to gather. And it is happening, without any help from anyone. So we
call it the gathering of 'kin.'
It is a gathering of like minded folks who have come to see their gifts and
the truely beautiful gift we all have been given called life.
AND we all mostly work on ourselves, under what I call 'authentic self
interest.' If everybody worked on themselves, and shared that work openly,
then the 'rescuing' is being done. Indirectly.
People are listening, those who want answers. They will ask questions, when
they feel the need. Not that they really have a need.
Extending a hand to those who request it is a great way to live and serve
and grow. 'We are ALL made of stars,' as moby so eloquently sang. We are all
made of the same stuff, so it's ok to ask for a hand and extend one in turn.
It will bennefit everyone.
Please notice though the FEELINGS attached to that. There is no victum,
there is no saviour, just folks working together to create a greater
experience.
AND that my dear friends, is my two cents worth. Off my soap box now.
