I feel like i need to be a bit of a cheerleader here. I certainly don't
claim to be the wisest person in the world, and I am sure there are things
I'm missing or not considering, because that's usually the case when I open
my mouth -- someone will come along and say something i never even thought
of and i'll think "damn . . . " . . . But I'm gonna do it anyway.

I get a good feeling from the things Doc has been talking about.

Doc, I'm with Hillary. If you don't do what you can to bring about those
things you see as possible "good" outcomes, then you will probably later
wish you had. I'm fully in agreement with you about, if you've reached a
certain point of awareness, a certain point of enlightenment, then you have
to (can? should? ought to? please do?) bring it back down to this
existence we all find ourselves in and apply it. Make it work. Use it to
bring up the level of all and everything. I have a suspicion that if your
intentions are less than pure, it won't work anyway, or will backfire on
you. If you see it as a path, and it's a path you want to take, and you're
as aware as you can be of the pitfalls, then do it!! Climb Mount Everest!

All of this reminds me of a Dean Koontz book I recently read that was not
only a very good book, but very relevant. It's called "From the Corner of
his Eye," and one of the main characters is a child who is born able to
see/sense/understand "all the ways things can be". When he had a cold and
his mother tried to comfort him, he said "don't worry Mommy, the cold is
only here, not in all the other places I am."
