I'm glad the list has served a purpose in your developement. I have no doubt
that this unique gathering of people each benifit in an equaly unique way
from the existance of the K-List.
I can relate in some small way to what your saying in regards to expression
and it's boundries. In my own life functioning regularily is not easy, the
thoughts and contemplations that occur come, churn until they can be thought
of no more, and leave to make room for the next, in a time frame thats
nearly incomprehensable. Communicating my thoughts and feelings with
regular, english words strung together in a meaningful paragraph seems
extrordinarily difficult- if only because the words I need do not exist.
When they do, the concepts too foriegn for others to grasp. Or 'want to
grasp' perhaps. :)
Anyways I've sincerely enjoyed every one of your posts to the list and
especialy the longer more provocative ones. I have one or two fresh off the
printer even now. The effort to express your awareness in a tangable worded
document may have been difficult, but the fruits of your labours are
appreciated.
In the wanderling's pages I submitted to the list it makes note of the fact
that following enlightenment, buddah hesitated to attempt his teachings. He
made it clear the "bottleneck" in expressing himself (language) would be so
hindering that he would find it vexing, that he feared the endeavour would
make him grow weary.
"The most significant truths in life cannot be spoken and the second most
are misunderstood."
Communication is transfer of information, but good communication is the act
of instilling a thought or concept. ehm.. yes that sounded right.
Some don't seem to enjoy your posts as much as I though. One problem
attesting to that fact, is that the very picking and chosing of words
(regardless that they may mean the same thing) is so important to english
literature that the reader will be affected by whatever he or she brings to
the document and not the other way around. We forget that "tree" and the
thing out in my backyard are very different things. Every word here is a
composition of a limited 26 letters which are only symbolic. Metaphorical in
every way. When I have the pleasure of parent-hood I hope to teach with the
mindset of: "this is what we call a tree" and not "trees are these plants".
They seem the same no?
Words seem to be necessary evils. The language you learn from birth
developes your brain in a different way from your penpal on the other side
of the world. Yet they all appear to instantly seal your fate for developing
"cricket mind". Making a lot of unnecessary noise.
Hence the creation of meditation and zen. :)
Alrighty I'm done.

A long time ago, now it seems, Mystress wrote to me and told me she
wanted to know what I knew .. and now, she may not "know" exactly
what I "know" but she has some ideas as to "how" and "why" and
where I "know" it from.
