Aside from spontaneous kriyas and asanas, I had one incident recently during
a deep meditation. I became aware of someone speaking. Tuning in to the
voice, I realized it was my own. I NEVER chant as a part of meditation, but
over and over again I was repeating a short phrase. I had to bring myself
out of my meditation to be able to pick out the words.

For some time now I have considered divine energy "genderless" so imagine my
surprise in discovering that I was chanting: "I consecrate myself to the
Goddess".

And Rod Serling was nowhere to be seen!

p.s. For those unfamiliar with American television, Rod Serling wrote and
hosted a series in the 1960's called The Twilight Zone. He would pesonally
introduce and conclude each show--often with a moral. The show had very
creative thriller-ish plots including ghost strories, sci-fi, paranormal and
time travel. It was a completely new story with new actors every week, not a
series of stories with the same characters. Very X-File-ish. Also similar
to Alfred Hitchcock--if you're familiar with either of those. Cutting edge
for 1960's America.
