Subject: [K-list] Like Attracts Like and the Buzzing of Hornets on the List

Hi:
A post commented that one of the Cosmic Laws is that like attracts
like. Well, opposites attract is as lawful as like attracts like. I
didn't notice too many people of the same kind being attracted to
Christ or Bhudda or Ghandi. In fact, the north pole of a magnet
repels the north pole of another magnet. South poles ditto. The
energy of people can repel in the same way. It all depends on your
own and the other person's energy.

I see these interactions in a different way, along energy lines and
to me it's all about balance.

Energy sources attract energy drains. Those with Shaktipat to give
attract those who need Shakti—like the Grounding site that the list
mistress has set up. Masters attract students. Substances with a
surfeit of electrons zap those with a deficit—shocks from the carpet
when you walk over it.

Energy drains attract energy sources. Black holes attract sunlight.
Lizards sun themselves to warm up. In my experience, a person who has
a lot of suppressed anger toward external circumstances (activist) or
who is very depressed (anger turned inwards) needs to attract a
person who has an energy surplus (love) to pay attention to them
because it takes so much energy to hold the anger in the body and
energy follows attention. So people who need energy need to attract
attention.

This is one of the most basic Huna principles. It doesn't matter
whether the attention is positive or negative. Frequently someone who
can't get positive attention will find a way to get negative
attention by acting up. The only way out of this conundrum is to get
energy from the Cosmos directly and to become centered and balanced
internally. And even then, it's very easy to be pulled off center, to
be drawn to pay attention to the external. I'm still letting my ex
successfully attract attention by his negative behaviors.

So telling people that they are having a hassle with someone or
something because like attracts like is really not quite accurate.
There's more at play than that.

It is more true to say that people attract to themselves the
circumstances that they need in order to evolve, to release blocks,
to learn to be more loving, more centered, more courageous, more
evil, if that is what it is going to take to be closer to becoming
All That Is. To balance Yin/Yang/Light/Dark/Love/Hate, whatever.
