Maybe the problem is the underlying framework that all of these religions gone
bad have arisen in. No matter how sincere the initial leader, the operating
system of most organizations short circuits the realization of the initial
leaders vision. It is a command and control patriarchal ground that they are
planted in. It did not always work this way. This has been the prevailing
environment for 5000 years now. This will not be the environment forever. Any
organization that operates under this illusion/distortion/fabrication called
reality, will corrupt itself. A good book to read is called the Sexual Peace by
Michael Sky. It talks about this dominator virus that corrupts. When we get
past domination and competition and move into a realm of real equality and
cooperation, then society and religion can be all that they can be. I believe a
similar book is The Blade and the Chalice by Riane Eisler
