For the simple reason that one of the functions performed
is to clear the mind of what it thinks K should perform ..

How is it possible for the mind to keep K active
when the mind only becomes aware of what has happened
after it has happened ..

Oh .. and by the way ..

for the scientifically inclined,

the true "energy of the pot" is a centrifugal and expansive vortex
the energy of the thinking mind is the opposite ..
a centripetal and compresive vortex ..

the inversion takes place in the medulla.
