From: Christopher Wynter
On 2002/06/26 17:13, Christopher Wynter posted thus to the K-list: Consciousness has evolved too ..
sometimes people tend to thing that consciousness as we know it
existed xyz million years ago .. it did not ..
it evolved - just the same as all of the species - along the lines of
what_will_survive_in_this_environment
so all of the species - and their consciousness - adapted to the
changing environment - not the other way round.
the process follows most closely the mathematical "fractal paradigm" ..
and evolution, of both consciousness and the physical expression of
it follows pretty much what I wrote in my response to Brett ..
In his thinking that he is superior, man tends to think that all of the
other animals, insects, primates, primitives, bacteria and viruses
are inferior ..
but, lets face it, mas has done more to destroy the planet beyond
the needs for survival than any other species - thus forcing the
mutation of other species (bacteria and viruses in particular)
to evolve in such a manner that they will continue to attack
man in the area of his greatest weakness ..
the human mind's idea that it can think it is superior
and thus separate
from everything from which it evolved.
You would be very dead
if it wasn't for bacteria and viruses
that live in the darkest recesses
of your own physical body.
Lets face it ..
the ape is less of a threat to humanity
than humanity is to the ape ..
which was here long before man ever was
and did nothing to the environment
as it lived (and lives) in harmony
the same breath of life
that we do.
One day, if human kind does not change its ways,
we, species homo-sapiens
will become the dinosaurs of the future generations
proving that we thought we were above
what evolution teaches us
and didn't learn a thing.
To Planet Earth, we are no more than another bacteria ..
the question arises - are we a friendly one
or a threat to its survival ...
