The "fries your brain" probably wasn't clear. If you do too much psychic
work from throat it can damage the brain centers. If you don't try to use
your psychic ability you shouldn't worry about that. You'd have to push to
cause that. What happens naturally shouldn't be enough to fry you.
Before I get a lot of letters on that one, I work as an Intuitive Counselor
(don't like the term psychic, sounds like a night club act). It just that it
is much better done from Ajna and not done 8 hr a day, 40 hr a week. And
like any profession there are dangers associated with it. Just know them and
be careful.

It is easier to understand if you are familiar with the (Kabbalah) Tree of
Life. When properly placed on the body, Daath fits over the throat chakra.
Daath is the "abyss" the dangerous area.
I mean you'll develop powers at throat, or can with little effort, and there
the temptation to misuse them is greater than it will be farther along, or
weas before. Before you didn't have the power and potential for good or ill
you do at throat. Past throat you've opened up some things that make it
easier to avoid the evil side of things. So throat is the area of greatest
risk.

Yes there are ways to control it. The entire study of Vedanta and the yogas
are dedicated to that. There are also techinques from Taoism, Shamanism,
etc. that can help but most of what is published from those traditions are
much more about what the yogis call prana.
Asana (hatha yoga), mantra, mudra, pranayama, yanta practices, etc. all can
be used to control it in different ways. The simplest things can be the most
powerful. Things like sitting in meditation with the throat and anal lock on
while doing other practices to raise prana can stir up K and push her
upward, for example.

My intent was not to frighten you. You seem to have strong process and in
general that is good. I was asking for speciifcs because the little bit of
your story I know sounds rather classic, not bad, just a special type of
awakening. If it caused you the stereotypic things associated with each
chakra, and caused them intensely then K was very likely just going through
a specific nadi.
Such awakenings can look very frightening if one doesn't realize that for
risings through that nadi that isn't just something that happens, it is
something that always happens. But risings through that nadi are not all
that common, so the things look rare and frightening, in part because
everyone else doesn't go through them, few others do.

Until it gets to your throat it will go up and down and you can notice all
kinds of things. If it was what I suspected it might be though you'd have
had periods where you were getting a lot of 3rd chakra things all together.
Later you'd have had 4th chakra (heart) things all together. That was what I
was asking about.
