  I'm sorry Joe received hate mail. That is as unjustified as insults. Just because something is universal doesn't make it justified. We are all free to make decisions about how we behave towards each other. Sometimes, a confrontational attitude is all that works. In general, though, it usually escalates a situation. The hardest part is knowing when to push and when to yield.
