Hi Kristy,

Never been a pentacostal, but attended 1 meeting with a friend when I was a teen, and later tried the 'speaking in toungues' thing on for size in my own bedroom. It's a light trance. At least one non-christian magical invocation uses the associated trance state to 'keep the mind busy' while communicating with a god form. Though I slipped into the state easily enough I didn't see an usefull purpose to it, so never tried it again.
