They said that, did they? Life is suffering? Perhaps you should find another yoga group. It's like the Christian church...extreme fundamentalist teachings want you to SUFFER! And suffer you shall, and take on their energy and their fear and their dysfunctional way of thinking. Laura, just change you mind! Yes! Change you mind. "Suffering" is a form of energy that is only perceived in your mind. YOUR suffering, whatever that may be or what you may think it is, may just end up as the best blessing in your life -- your best lesson, your greatest opportunity to learn...about your Self.

I believe God is patient. I thank God constantly that I possess the mind I do and that I'm the body I'm in and I realize in THIS lifetime what I realize. As Susan sort of said...when you least expect it, it seems that you're elected! Also too, my God is not that of fear and suffering -- laughter is much better, yes? However, that may be where you are on your journey and that may be where you need to be at this time.

What they had to say, basically, is that life is suffering. In duality, one has two choices. To move in the direction of release of suffering or, by default, to move in the direction of continued suffering. Even if one does not suffer overly much in this lifetime, we risk greater suffering in a future lifetime if we abandon the path to realization.
