Letting go is just that, letting go.... There are many routes to get to
this point of where we do actually let go.... Seeing that we don't
really need something doesn't mean it is enough to let go.... But it
makes it *easier*.

For me yes... I try to remind myself that I will always feel so much
better when I do let go.... I try to get behind the whole experience
that I'm caught up in and free it up with whatever way works.. Let
goddess take it.. Ask her to do it... Ask the heart what I need to do
with this... Usually it's love it to bits so it melts and then dissolves
so Goddess can shift the rest. The heart has a great capacity for
transformation.

> Can you rationalize with yourself to let go?

You can't let go whilst thinking about it.... figure, figure, figure
never works... For that matter whilst attention is on something
unwanted, it's just making it grow bigger.

Sometimes when I get the thoughts like 'I can't let go of this', 'This
is too much', 'This will never shift' or whatever, then I'm immediately
looking to let go of that thought also. Cherish the thought :)

Often we make strong agreements at the time of heavy trauma/upsets that
keep them in place. This is part of the package and it's very easy to be
controlled by these agreements and not see past them for where they are
actually arising from.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here...

Ha... No... They tend to go in the same direction as well until a course
change takes place :)

> For you,

No... The xyz is specific to each thing you are trying to let go of...
It's the 'why' to the thing being held on to. Sometimes there can be
several if the experience was particularly heavy or prolonged.

It can be an agreement with our self to hold on to it. Revenge, to proof
our cause, to get attention, to play on someone's guilt, whatever it is.

Sometimes we deny the experience.... 'I can't experience this', 'This
isn't really happening', 'This is too much', 'I'll die if this happens',
whatever... This also keeps the thing held on to as we are unwilling to
experience it and as a result the thing persists. It's like an elastic
band... We push it out such that it bounces back until we fully
experience it :)

Okay you get the idea...

Getting stuck with something is a result of either being unwilling to
experience that thing fully at the time and effectively be the
experience OR/AND that we are using the experience as a justifier for
something (it serves a purpose or helps us reach a goal).

> Can you visualize what that state of being is like,

I can usually get a glimpse of the state before I let go of something
but doing do is really just a distraction to letting go. Meditating or
tuning into K. or your heart all helps... The less energy we are putting
into the thing we want to let go of the better.

As Mystress Angelique would say... What we put our attention on grows.

Thanks for your questions... It's been useful to me to write this down.

Best wishes,

Rich
