I'm sorry, but what I stated is not misinformation. While I learned a great deal about urate stone formation in Dalmatians, the research, data and facts on the subject was done for humans. At one time it was thought imperative to buy "distilled" water for the Dals (mostly male), but then it was discovered that distilled water seemed to be creating other problems, including an increase of urate stone formation in these dogs. You, personally, may not have problems with that sort of thing, but the upshot was that these minerals were passing through the kidneys, into the bladder...and creating stones. Wouldn't "purified" water be better than distilled? There is quite a big difference. And yes, the body requires the minerals in water.

Basic biochemistry renders the above statment utterly false.
When you drink H2O it mixes in your stomach with whatever
is in your stomach. The water then absorbs into your body
through the walls of the intestines. It's quite impossible
that it can leach minerals out.

Point blank, tap water is *contaminated*. Don't drink
it if you don't have to.

Water is arguably the most important nutrient in your
body. Get in pure.
