Dear Keith,
In 1982, I was living with my second husband who had been loosing his mother
to cancer and began drinking, and because of those things became seriously
threatening and violent. It was pretty bad and after a few incidents I was
trying to get out, but my friends and family didnt afford me a way out and I
knew I was stuck there. I felt really stuck there and thought eventually I
would be a dead woman. I was 26 and 27 years old during this time. Finally, I
was convinced I was in a situation I had absolutely no control over. Where
was God anyhow? I wondered...
After a few really bad days and getting drug across the concrete driveway and
all scraped up, I became lost into my own self thoughts... it was beyond the
fear where I was totally surrendered to whatever would happen next. The fear
had run its course and the stress was as powerful as the physical abuse, so I
had conceded to it.
It was at this point that I decided I wasnt going to survive this place and
began praying for a God I had never known. My husband was at work all day
long so I went on a vigil every day all day long praying and crying in
surrender on my knees... it went on for days... chanting and signing and
doing odd repeatative motions...
I was asking to know God, where was He in this horrible place? I asked... I
could not go on without it and I decided to chant and fast until I knew the
answer... after a while I did not know how long had gone by... maybe a week...
What I do know, is I was weak, despirate and totally surrendered.
Finally in a hypnotic chanting, I did hear a voice, with instructions,
directions and a long story of truths about religions and spirituality,
electrical shocks and feeling of elevation, clarvoiyance and many other
things...
Sometime shortly following, I had dreams and strongly and physcially felt the
lovemaking with the kundalini serpent as the first chakra was opened and the
journey began. There is much more story to go with this brief description,
earlier in the archives...
This was how I had experienced a self-induced Shaktiput. Please take close
notice to the elements of surrender, chanting and letting go... to name a
few.
You can induce it yourself if you are totally surrendered. I would expect it
to be a week long meditation and partial fasting.
