Hi, All,

I'm new to the List but have been lurking for a bit & you all seem like
pretty warm & loving people. Can you help me? I'm wondering if what I am
experiencing is indeed Kundalini.

A few weeks ago I took a Chi Gong class & began practicing at home. As
soon as I began this one breathing exercise that brings in energy to
each chakra I started experiencing these involuntary movements that I
thought were random, but have turned out to be quite sexual, even
orgasmic on several occasions. After mildly freaking out I started to do
some research to find out what the hell was happening & came up with
Kundalini. The reason I'm unsure is I don't feel any currents of energy
moving up & down my spine as others have described. Also for a while it
was waking me up in the middle of the night & making me do the movements
for a couple of hours before I could get back to sleep, but now that has
settled down & I just have them for the duration of the breathing
exercise (I do it from 30 min. to 1 hr. each morning) and then I go
about my normal life. Shouldn't something else be happening? I read Gopi
Krishna's Living With Kundalini, & although it was fascinating, I
haven't really experienced what he did, except for the pelvic movements.

I have explored many spiritual paths in my life, even done some similar
meditations before, but never experienced any reactions like this. I'm
nearly 50 years old (most of you sound quite a bit younger, but I guess
there's no statute of limitations on K awakenings!) I certainly fit the
early literature profile: Tolkien, Heinlein, Bradbury, Clarke, oh yes!
Not to mention Andre Norton, Poul Anderson, Roger Zelazny, etc.
