Subject: [K-list] Cynthia's Exercise
From: Lbra782595
On 2002/05/09 18:46, Lbra782595 posted thus to the K-list: Hi Cynthia,
I have never been sore from doing T'ai Chi except when I was doing it
incorrectly. My problem was I was digging in with my toes and my achilles
tendons were screaming at me all day. This stopped when I had the instructor
check my alignment. Keep your toes up and your knees pushed out above the
feet. Don't pivot on a foot with weight still on it. Never extend a foot
out so far that you can't maintain your balance and fall heavily on the
outstretched leg. All these things can make you sore.
End Martial Arts Lesson,
Peace,
Jason B
