"Disturb" is a pretty strong word in my book. There are civilizations in
which tattoos have great spiritual significance, but I'm not really here to
write a book on those. In my personal experience (with my DH, not myself), I
have noticed that if you are tattooed with a design that has spiritual
significance for you that it will alter the flow of any energy in your body.
  My DH has a tattoo on his upper arm that a year later id raised and does
in a way look like a painted scar. When I read him, energy collects there,
waiting to be used. It is also an exit point similar to the crown chakra
and can get pretty intense for him sometimes. It was a holdover from prior
to his k-awakening when he was (self-described) an ego magician and it does
alter things. I have no doubt that if goddess didn't want that energy
collecting there, it wouldn't. Kundalini bows to no-thing unless it serves
her purpose...even then it is allowed, rather than a bowing.

I am wanting a tattoo of a symbol that has some meaning for me, but as of
late I've put it off as something that would create another attachment
rather than something truly helpful. In the nordic ways, some warn against
getting a tattoo dedicated to Odin because those dedicated to him tend to
die a very violent death. Here lately I'm wondering if having the balls to
get that tattoo and dedicate yourself to him (if that were my religious
beliefs) would be the ultimate surrender...putting your entire incarnation
under divine will.
