Most people don't remember but a very few years ago this almost happened in
the US. The difference was we would still have been allowed to purchase
pills up to the MDR that the FDA had established. No pills anymore powerful.

The FDA published it as a rule, which requires several months to take
effect. It was one of the many freedom ending attempts but the Nazi prick
Kessler when he was at FDA, like cigs are a drug despensing device.

Of course he's a darling of the media so it went along just fine. Until one
of the men the media hates, Orin Hatch, heard about it. Seems the good
Senator may not think a woman should have an abortion on demand but she
should have the right to take any vitimins she damn well pleases to be
healthier, pregnant or not, and so should men.

So if it weren't for the power of a knee-jerk right-wing Mormon Senator we'd
have beat the Europeans to ending anything remotely like the right to
control our own body.

He rammed through legislation making the FDA's rules illegal in pretty much
record time. God bless him.
