Your story sounds very much like a K experience to me. The stillness of
breath and heartbeat are longstanding traits of skilled guru's in India. I
would a recommend a book to you: Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa
Yogananda. The still breath and heartbeat are described there. The awareness
and omni-directional vision are also described in an experience called
Samadhi.
To answer your question about shakitpat.......it is but one path. If you
seek shakitpat, take care in your selection of a guru. Get to know him,
although it sounds to me like you no longer need shaktipat, but rather a
means to bring your K experiences into the realm of conscious control. I
study kriya yoga for this very purpose. Like "The Force" from that famous
movie, K energy can "control your actions, but it will also obey your
commands" (Star Wars episode IV A New Hope)
Welcome and may you find what you seek!
