Subject: [K-list] some thoughts
From: rhjcrestone
On 2002/03/30 11:36, rhjcrestone posted thus to the K-list: After quite a few tries, I've finally gotten onto the chat line and
want to put out a few thoughts. I lot of what I've been reading on
the K line is about frightening experiences. Personally, I've
experienced mostly amazing things and some terrifying things as a lot
of you have. The important thing for me is that I learned about a
thousand times more from the difficult experiences: Kali is a
ruthless teacher, and I lvoe her for it (took me a few decades to be
able to say that). Anyway, a big challenge is for those of us who
have had difficult transitions, it is important to be able to discuss
them and let others know they're not alone: it's a natural process
even when it's wierd. But then how do we share about this in the
company of others who get frightened over things they haven't
experienced and probably never will? Obviously, we don't all
experience the same things.
Some time ago, someone wrote that the symptoms associated with K are
like mid-life crisis. Well, yeah, but they not only happen to younger
people, but happen with a greater pressure. I have an article
somewhere that is a transcript of a lecture on this theme if any of
you are interested.
I think we all understand that any difficult transition is just that,
a transition and it's all a process that confronts us with shadow
stuff: our own, others' (which is why you folks have so much trouble
in relationships), and shadow stuff that's generic to being human. In
the long run, unconditional love isn't a philosophical stance (this
is response to some recent chat): it's a matter of experiencing the
fulness of kundalini. K may do nasty things to our egos, but it's
basic nature is love our human psyche can only philosophize about.
My opinion, anyway. Light up the night sky, friends.
