Hi Lillian
 My understanding is that to love someone unconditionally -- you realize the
connection in the spiritual realm.
 That you and I are parts of a collective whole and are-- in our essence
form -- one. That what ever a person does to us is part of our collective
learning experience.To love them while they learn their lessons ---even when
they are doing things that we do not like. To see beyond the actions and to
be able to see the devine ( ourselves) in the person and feel understanding
and compassion for them --no matter what they do. If it is mastered --then a
person would be able to say,"That's O.K. I LOVE and Forgive You " even when
someone is taking your life.
