Subject: [K-list] An Easter Story

Some years ago i still lived in Germany in a little old town called " Passau", near the Austrian border in the South. Passau is situated at the Danube and i could see the river valley from my window. Around Easter that year they were fighting in Sarajevo and Sarajevo is at the Danube also. Whenever i walked along the river or crossed one of her bridges, i was thinking about the people some hundred miles down the river, starving and frightened, cold and full of despair.
On Easter Sunday morning i was up early. My daughter and my friend were still sleeping when i started to prepare the dough for the Easter bread.
I'm very sensitive to energies in food. I can read the thoughts of the cook, because whatever somebody thinks preparing food or cooking, will be manifested in the meal.
I had experienced this many many times in my own body, when i wasn't able to eat in a certain household, because of the energies in the food.
I already refused to eat anything my mother had prepared when i was a toddler. I grew up with apples and bread because of it.
I had learned to turn this phenomenon around. If i can suffer from other people's unconscious thoughts and feelings in food, i can also " charge" the food i'm preparing with other kinds of thoughts and prayers.
I started using food as a manifestation of prayer and meditation.
Because i believe we are all one i'm praying: May the food that i'm preparing feed all beings. May what i'm eating nourish the people all over the world. May we all become conscious enough to thank the food, to thank the Earth, the wind, the sun, the water for their gifts. May we learn to honor the plant and the animal we are eating.
May we learn to grow the plant and to treat the animal that will become our food with respect. May we will be able to take in the best and the essence of every piece of food and may we be able to transform and heal the rest.
This Easter morning while i was working on the dough i especially thought about the people living in the War Zone not far away. I was blessing the bread for them and praying, it should feed them and heal their wounds.
Some hours later we were sitting down and having Easter Breakfast. By then my friend and my daughter were up and everybody started enjoying the Easter bread.
Almost immediately after taking the first bite my daughter said: " I cannot help but think about the poor people down in the war zone. I hope, they get peace soon." My friend said, she too was thinking about the people in Sarajevo, being in the cold and without fresh food and water.
This experience was amazing to me. It demonstrated how precisely my manifestation had worked out. The bread was transporting my thoughts and feelings to my family.
Later that day my daughter and i built little boats made of bark and placed little votive candles on top of them. We went down to the river and our little boats with the candles were drifting down stream. We imagined, our little boats with the shining candles would reach Sarajevo one day and bring some hope to the people.....or at least a smile.......
