Subject: [K-list] hypoglycemia
From: padmakunzang
On 2002/03/26 22:10, padmakunzang posted thus to the K-list: this is my first post here, though i've been lurking for a long time.
does anyone have any information about or experiences with reactive
hypoglycemia in regards to the energy expressions associated with
kundalini?
i'm not really sure if my experiences have been kundalini or whether
they're related in general to "bio-energy" symptoms associated with
spiritual practices, etc.
i've noticed tremendous reactive hypoglycemic episodes either
concurrent with exposure to certain spiritual adepts or sometimes
following meetings with them. as well, meditative practice itself
seems to occasionally trigger an episode.
i've been fairly successful controlling my hypoglycemic episodes with
diet (specifically noting dietary triggers and avoiding them), but
then sometimes i get zonked with an overflow of energy -- either
through encounters with adepts or just through intensive meditation,
and my there's an inevitable blood sugar crash.
any advice would be appreciated, but i'd really like to hear any
suggestions that are alternatives to dietary approaches as i've
gained too much weight trying to avoid these intense episodes. also,
exercise has not been very helpful as it also tends to "release k
energy". gardening though is very balancing.
tia,
kunzang
