Hi, everyone,
I just joined the list. I've been involved in spiritual practice for
a while, but recently I started teaching and started having K
awakening "symptoms." At first it was a horrible lower back ache,
which moved from side to side. Physically, I tried heating pads,
ibuprofen to no avail. Finally I realized it wasn't a physical cause
and did some chakra work, which really started things rolling and
moving upwards. I suspected it was Kundalini,realized I didn't really
know what to expect and felt a little at a loss and alone.
Then, one day last week, I went out to buy this buddha statue I had
seen in a shop window. On my way home, decided to pop into an occult
bookstore. I checked my bag inside and went to the front of the
store. My crown chakra kicked right in and right there on the corner
of the table was Gopi Krishna's Kundalini. I picked it up and
literally could not put it down. (I tried several times and my arm
just would not move. I even picked up other books and I couldn't even
set it down for a second.)
Oddly (?), I only had enough money to buy it because the hardware
store was out of the paint I wanted. Of course, the book came home
with me. I was almost out of my body when I left the shop and luckily
passed a wonderful friendly dog who let me pet her and a plant store
where I wandered around for a few mintues and touched some leaves. It
really helped to bring me back to earth.
I read the book in a day. It helped me to understand some of the
symptoms I'm having, but I wanted to find real live people who are
going through/have experienced the same thing. Where else but the
Internet!
So, here I am!
Maybe this isn't appropriate to ask, but I will. I live in the Bay
Area. I'm wondering if anyone else does? I'm not really interested in
finding a teacher, but am interested in talking about experiences in
person as well as online.
Even as I write this I can feel the energy moving and tingling. It
seems to intensify when appropriate (when I'm concentrating
on "spiritual" ideas, things, etc. and fade when I'm not. If I stop
and be still it also starts initiating physical vibration and
movement (which I can stop at any time). Anyway, I just wanted to
share what's happening to me.
