I looked it up, the shampoo does not carry the same dangers that the oral
medication does. I took it about 7 yrs ago, when it was relatively new,
because it was an anti-fungal, and I had a doctor willing to work with me,
who actually believed that candida overgrowth could cause systemic problems.
We agreed to try it. I felt quite a bit better within days, and with less
stomach pain than for years. What a relief. It was fantastic right up to the
allergic reaction! Oh well, I don't like taking pharmaceuticals anyway.
It's interesting you should mention self-criticism. I was criticized
continually as a child, so I try not to criticize my daughter. Yet she is
self critical and pushes herself very hard. The rash is not from
insect/parasite bites, or so the dermatologist says. They are itchy
blisters, and they come and go all over the body, although mine aren't as
bad as hers. It's not allergies either, as we had that checked. My son and
husband don't have them. I did wonder if it was a virus symptom for a while.
I'm going to try and feed her potassium-rich food and fatty acid/fish oils.
