The crown chakra is actually, out side of your body... above your head.
So, when you meditate on it, you are not in your body. This can be useful
for getting a better perspective and releasing events in your life, and as
a comfy place to hang out and not resist while the body is processing
uncomfortable kriyas. Focusing on your crown also opens it, so you receive
more life energy and divine wisdom.

A crown chakra meditation can be a good way to get a recharge and remind
yourself of your true nature... but you cannot live there.

You incarnated to be in your body, and generally its vitality will begin
to suffer if you spend too much time out of it. Too much crown chakra
meditation makes the body frail, it thinks you are dead and begins the
process of returning to ashes. The guidance you get from your heart and
your body feelings when you are in it is important, it is the daily
meditation of mindfullness.

When all the chakras are clear, the eternal, timeless experience of the
void meets the body's instincts for a passionate incarnation and the flow
of life picks you up and carries you. You realize a door to the void also
exists in the heart. The void is in the spaces between the atoms of your body.

The first part of K. is generally an upward movement, going out of daily
reality to commune with the Divine via the crown chakra, and get a new
perspective of yourself. The second part is a downward movement,
integrating the higher chakra perspectives into daily life.

Everyone's experience of K. is unique and there are a lot of ideas
about it around. Check in your heart for resonance, because the crown does
not judge truth.
