I don't know what it means. But after I got used to it, I realized that (for
me) this was actually quite restful. Conventional experience would tell me
I'm awake all night. But when I started paying attention to the results, I
realized that I feel better physically and psychologically when I've "slept"
this way than regular, unconscious sleep. Guess that makes sense -- when I
spend the most of the night in this meditative state neither body nor mind are
impacted by disturbing thought patterns.
