i didn't feel your suggestion sounded arrogant, Mystress.
In my understanding your suggestion is perfectly correct, you were describing the principle....
my little story should only illustrate how the practice can be quite different - as you yourself indicated in the same mail....... even if somebody knows.....even if somebody is conscious up to a certain point.....
even if somebody is paying attention .....
and yes, it leaves us with a feeling of humbleness.....of limitation......
and you are right, it forced me to learn to take care of myself and therefore i'm thankful for S.' s role in my life and the lesson she taught me.
