Thanks for the replies on Sensory Deprivation which my mind someone managed to link up to the subject of how you define being K active.

Sorry to be pedantic but I need to get my head round this whole subject of being 'K active' or not. For a start I wince everytime I refer to it since there's a kind of implied elitism ie I am, you're not yah boo sucks.

Loads of my friends are clearly on spiritual journeys, and when probed, you find they've experienced K symptoms even if just a one off experience - even my dear old Mum and Dad come into that catagory. Yet there's no way they can relate to the more in your face stuff like electric surges up the spine.

I've been trying to come up with an analogy to help me get my head round this, and also to explain it in simple terms to others and I've come up with this thing about pilot lights, boilers and central heating.

Compare yourself to a room with a radiator and a boiler in a cupboard in the corner. We all have our boilers on pilot light ie the spark that keeps us alive, and K in it's dormant state. Then at some point, the heating gets turned on (awakening), but the amount seems to be different for everyone ie many people seem be on quite a low level, so it takes longer for the room to warm up (ie slower, more gradual spiritual growth), while others seem to whack on at full blast and warm up in no time and before they know it the heat from their room is warming up/speeding up other rooms close by (ie other people).

So maybe at the lower levels K symptoms are less obvious - may not even be noticed at all.

So loads and loads of people are 'K active', it's just a question of degree.

Well I'm just musing but it makes sense to me.
