Hi Brian,

I too, at times would hear explosions as I drifted off to sleep but they
didn't sound distant to me. Sounded like they were right in the room and then
I would be wide awake. My husband never heard anything. It's been a few years
since I've heard them. I was never really sure as to what was causing them.
