Bingo! That is the "flip side", (pun intended :-) ), of what I've been experiencing with this "rotating" brain function sensation! It didn't occur to me to connect the two, (increased empathic response vs. diminished abilities in other functions). Interesting!

  I often get the brain being rewired sensation. There is research that suggest that kundalini moving in the body is a voltage wave transmitted through body fluids that can be measured. One might do a search on Bob Dratch and find his site to learn more about this.

  And I get more dyslexic with my verbal and written skills the older in kundalini I grow. Not too worried about it though cause I communicate much better in empathic non verbal, non physical ways instead.
