Subject: [K-list] Telling others about K

I have found that recently I have less need to tell people about my K
experiences. When they started, I desperately wanted to talk about it with
people. I didn't feel like anyone could actually know WHO I WAS without
explaining this to them. In college, this scared off many a prospective
boyfriend, I can tell you.

I think because the K energy is less active in me (or at least has been
until recently) I have felt less of a need to talk about it. Now, I have
this board to talk to, so I don't feel pressured to seek out anyone else to
validate my experience.

It was very hard in the beginning when I was looking for someone else to
tell me that I wasn't crazy, and invariably the people that I had always
looked up to (parents, authority figures) thought that I must be losing it.
As time has gone by, and I have come to realize that I am not the only this
is happening to, I have felt a BIT more at peace with the idea of others
thinking whatever they want to about my experiences. But I still am
cautious about whom I share them with.

As a doctoral student of psychology, I am very interested in what psychology
does and does not have to say about the spirit. The Course In Miracles
actually identifies psychotherapists as healers of the soul, which kind of
startled me at first. Now that I have been practicing and training in the
field for six years, I understand a little more why the Course might have
said this. Of course, therapists are looking to heal themselves as they
seek to help their clients heal themselves.

Has anyone else studied the Course? I don't want to get off the topic of K,
but I feel like the Course is one way that I have worked on myself
spiritually, and that I was lead to do this by my initial experiences of K
energy.
