Dear Aaron,
You write things that have some truth to them. And some of the things
don't if one looks closer into them.
The man who helped design the load bearing structure of the WTC
buildings is a professor of architecture here in one of our area's
major universities. He went into quite much the scientific detail
about why the WTC towers collapsed so abruptly and it was emminently
reasonable. It was posted in our newspapers and was on the wire
services. I have also seen descriptions of this on major networks and
CNN on line.
I have never seen reports which claimed the terrorists were natives
of Afghanistan and have seen many reports which claim the
multinational identities of the terrorists. The terrorist
organization which is alleged to have carried out the attacks is
multinational in makeup and multinational in it's attacks.
I could go on to each of your points...but I am tired of being in
defending mode. ...ssssssigh.......
I think it is important to look beyond the words of the media, where
you and I seem to get our information, and use a judicious eye and
discernment about the information before we make pronouncements. It
is important to not take quotes from news reports out of context.It
is important not to react from fear and uncertainty.
It is unpopular, old fashioned and untrendy of me, I know, to espouse
the view that our Government did not blow up it's own buildings and
blah, blah, blah all those other conspiracy viewpoints that you are
pointing to. This stuff is sexy and makes great movie plots for the
general public and brings great attention to it's prophets and
profiteers. It is that old allure of glamour and it is common. It is
also very American...lol....
I am all for truth and integrity in all aspects of my life, which
also includes the political,national, and foreign policy actions of
the American government.
For me, I have come to understand this 'thrashing about' post 911 as
people trying to find security and safety in what they perceive to be
an unsafe world. It is then easy from that standpoint to look around
and find the boogie man monster everywhere. Finger pointing abounds
everywhere and no one is immune no matter what station of life.
Can one say in their heart they are safe and secure? Do they know in
their soul that nothing can harm them for their soul is infinite and
unperisheable? When a person knows this beyond a shadow of a doubt it
casts a different viewpoint upon the world.
Someone sent me this little quote a few days ago...don't know who it
is by.
"A person seeking help usually makes dozens of blunders at the
start. Having little discernment he rushes from one useless
teaching to another. He is like an ill person who cannot see the
emptiness of all the medicine bottles offered him. Nevertheless,
he is taking right and necessary action, for he must actively
seek a true source of help. Success depends upon his courage to
refuse comfort or excitement in favor of trueness. He must not
let his desire for security judge the accuracy of an offered
teaching. He must increasingly permit his own intelligence to
judge between accuracy and error. It is by this method that
aimless thrashing finally moves in one creative direction."
So I watch people toss and turn and froth at the mouth over events
and information. I have been there and I have done that. What I have
discovered is this search for meaning and cause in these events is a
useful process in becoming more human.
I have also discovered that the secret of life is life has no meaning.
The caveat is life has no meaning except for the meaning I give to it.
One can go off on crusades and mouth propaganda pro this and anti
that but it is at first only the agenda of those who propagate it.
How much of what we post here, thinking we do a service, is just
reiterated propaganda? This is my propaganda :)
So there is value in issuing what we think to be warnings. We do,
after all, want to help. Help what I am not sure. We do want to do
something and do what I am not quite sure.
So what I feel is important is using caution and discernment. What I
feel is my agenda is of being assured one's heart is at peace. What I
can be assured of for myself is personal responsibility in my tiny
little corner of the planet so I can affect global accountability.
My awareness of love and peace shines through all perceived darkness.
I see no darkness but I see plenty if not most people acting as if
the world is dark. What is all people began to act as if the world is
light? Maybe that is what it takes to expose the lies.
Yes I am an idealist and in practicality, from my human viewpoint, I
don't see that happening at least in my life time. But my heart and
soul hopes and sees it. What I can hope and see more often is others
who have a heart softened and strengthened by peaceful awareness.
This awakening can be a long time coming through day to day
experiences and study or it can be accelerated by a person's
submission to the kundalini process. Whether we call the Goddess of
Wisdom Sophia, Shekinah, the Holy Spirit or whatever one's culture
calls it it is important to know Her and love Her and know you are
loved by Her.

in blue velvet with a magic sparkling wand and wings made of paper
roses for a children's party tonight. I am making "squashed
frogs". :D My father asks, "why don't you be something scary?" I
say "Well, Daddy, so much for people to be afraid of these days. I
want people to know it is possible for so much more."
