Subject: Money....Re: [K-list] Tantra Course Notes
From: Divine Goddess
On 2001/10/29 17:09, Divine Goddess posted thus to the K-list: I told Mystress on another list that she charges way too little for
what she does and I put my money where my mouth was. I told her I
wanted to pay her the $88.00 out of respect for the energy she has
put into the course. She and I think similiarly and have come to many
of the same understandings and knowledge. She puts it into words a
lot better than I do and I want to honor her for it. She too pays for
her own teaching and instruction.
She does many things for people at no charge. Maintaining the k list
is one of them over these past four or so years and I want to give
back to her.
Over the years I have come to realize the value of work whether or
not it is in the category of 'spiritual'.
If we are honest with our selves there is no special category
of 'spiritual', is there? It is more about intent. It is my intent of
my heart that makes my vocation, my hobby, my play, my life sacred.
Where I go, what I do, the air I breathe, the ground I walk on is all
sacred whether I am at the store buying icecream, eating in the
Krishna Temple resteraunt 'Govinda', watching a movie, or attending a
class on wiresplicing or one on chakra development. I participate in
the great flow of energy that flows as the universe by paying.
India has a great tradition of householder mystics and saints, the
blending of the miraculous and the ordinary.
I once went round and round with a dear one a few years ago. He is a
talented healer mystic who does not want to charge and he has a
responsible, productive position in the work a day world. I thought
it would be wonderful if he became a full time healer and charge for
his services so he could make a living from it. He chooses not to and
just heal by being in service to others in his ordinary life. He is a
householder mystic for the intent of his heart in his ordinary job
blesses the people around him. In this he finds contentment. Isn't
that what is important? That we all find contentment in our own way?
So some charge and some do not. Does it matter? I really don't think
so from my own experience. It is not about the money.
The Universe sends such wonderful things my way. Some time the
exchange of energy to participate requires money and sometimes it
doesn't. If I want to participate badly enough I create the money for
it if it is something I truly want. It really is not about whether or
not we have the money. If you pray for bread the Universe will not
give you a stone.
In a funny way I have discovered something from experience. Our
relationship with the Divine is a direct reflection of our
relationship with money. Look at how someone lives in their
relationship with money and we will see a good picture of their
relationship with the Divine.
In my own life most of the time I charge and some of the time I do
not. I pay the Doctor to take care of my body sometimes and sometimes
I need a Doctor to take care of my soul. In those instances, I pay.
To bad we don't have a spiritual health insurance plan...:)
Just speaking from my own experiences.
Love,
Susan
