On 2001/10/26 15:22, rich posted thus to the K-list:

There is no right or wrong, good or bad, merely difference in opinion
(judgements). Our judgements are often ego-centric. When we judge
something we are also judging ourself. Remember we don't see things as
they are, we see things as we are. It is our judgements that separate us
from things. Words and thoughts are secondary to feeling and knowing.

When one does not judge they are able to fully appreciate things. To me
this is pure spirit - a world of fullness and atonement.

It's not easy to live a life non-judgementally. Sooner or later some
stimulus will bring you back into the world of thought and judgement
again.

Living intuitively is such a pleasure - substaining it is the challenge.

The difference is mind and no-mind.

Ultimately it is your attachments as much as your fears (resistances)
that need to be handled. Most people focus on their resistances. The
real reward comes from when you give up your pleasures also to leave a
you which is unburdened of grasping. Actually your fears (resitances)
are also attachments but it can be hard to see it like this early on.

It's funny that in some Buddhist fellowships it is regarded as a good
trait to not think too much. Many Buddhists believe that nearly all
mental illness is a result of excessive thinking. Our world values one's
intellectual ability so greatly that it's very difficuly to unwind from
our programming and brainwashing to see things at they really are and
not be caught up in our mental faculties so much. The mind is a filter
on our full perception.

Best,

Rich
