I SO relate to this. It began for me in 81 - I was only 16. One moment I
was stressing about exams, and finding a boyfriend, the next running round
bookshops reading up on mysticism, dao - anything that approximated to what
was happening to me.

I hesitate to venture I had a top down opening since my first experiences
were mystical - about true nature of reality, non-duality, paradox etc.
'Star Wars' was showing at the time, and I remember raving to my friends
about the mythological/spiritual truths it contained, while they pretended
to listen politely. But I was still only a kid. On one level I felt
centuries beyond my years (even before my time), and on the other I was a
normal adolescent dealing with all the normal shit - hard to square the two
for a long long time.

Think I've spent the intervening years doing the lower chakra stuff maybe.
I've always had sychronicity and attracted other spiritual types - even if
just as ships passing in the night. But in the last 5 years everything has
accelerated - more and more syncs, faster and faster growth, linking up with
more and more people. V exciting, and the net is a big part of it which
I've only really just cottoned on to....

It is a v lonely path - but that's an integral part of one's journey - you
can only do it alone, however many other spiritual types might be popping in
and out of your life. But it gets less lonely as you evolve and others
'come aboard', more permanently rather than just passing in the night. (You
can't tell I come from a nautical family can you)
