I live in NY, so naturally I've heard of famous cheesecake, but never heard of famous Danish before . . .

<Once in a while, I used to look at the vastness of the skies, and feel the insignificance of my personal I-dentity and personal drama .. and wondered sometimes whether I should not have had astrophysics as profession ..

I have these feelings too, and that insignificance is such a relief to my poor over-acculturated blob of squishy brain matter. One of my favorite haunts these days is the planetarium show, a beautiful round, dark theatre that very well reproduces the 3 dimensional night sky on the curved ceiling . . .

And they even have product placement in space now. Pizza Hut paid the Russians a truckload of money to have a Pizza Hut pizza delivered to the astronauts at their space station. Was it still hot, i'm wondering. And what if they got the order wrong? "I said NO anchovies!"

It's really astonishing to realize how tiny, insulated, isolationist and unadventurous and just plain dumb the human vision can be at times. Thank goddess for those other times when human vision blossoms like a giant blooming lotus blossom and shoots it's golden pollen into the cells of every living thing.

<I wonder why, he never turned the 'telescope' from gazing onto the skies, towards himself ..?!

Cause he would have had to call it a 'microscope'.

<So what is the difference between this 'highly educated' and 'civilized' flag-bearer and the poor
uneducated 'fundamentalist' ?

I would wager the flag-bearer's cholestorol is a lot higher . . . more fatty foods.

<If I would ask a ufo-naut, what he thinks of the 'future of humanity', I would not be at all surprized if he would say :
"..Humans ?!..
.. Forget it man ! "

I would say we have the same fate as all species (that we know of so far) . . . eventually a species is just no longer viable and must make way for those that are . . . evolution, the final solution.
