The earth is soft and lovely,
Too soft and lovely for the bombs and steel,
that man puts upon her bosom,
as the moving beings are hit,
each one is felt and remembered,
Do they not know that all is myself,
and it is thyself they injure,
Empires are but boils upon my skin,
where are they all now,
The skin is tired now and needs renewal,
where there is sea there shall be land,
and humanity will need to be hand in hand.....S
