Well truth was a casualty last night for sure, lets look at the
litany.
A terrorist crossed from Canada, ( that hotbed of terrorism and maple
syrup), from Ontario to Vermont. Vermont borders Quebec not Ontario,
and that is as near the truth the entire show got.
They did repeat the allegorical myth of the brothers Ishmael and
Isaac, representing the Jews and the Arabs. A Freudian slip and
allusion to the root cause of the terrorism, i.e. Israeli/Palestinian
conflict.
The fact that Ancient Israelis were a Semitic grouping as were the
Arabs, and that today's Israelis are based on Judaism, which is a
religion and not a race, and a great less than half modern Israelis
could claim to be purely Semitic, escaped them.
Then we had the President saying the terrorists were just mindless
murderers and had no nobility etc. I would say it takes a lot of
courage to sacrifice one's life for a cause no matter how misguided.
An aide saying the terrorists should be put in solitary with films of
their deeds playing 24x7, and a different person come in and punch
them in the mouth everynight. I hope kids weren't watching the show!!
Another bearded genius was telling us that terrorism started with the
Assassin movement in the 1100s. Terrorism is as old as time itself.
What about the Jewish Zealots, and other groups of Jesus's time? Or
Celts, or other groups?
There was an allusion to the pizzaria bombed in Israel, but nothing
about say a four year old girl being shredded by an Israeli rocket, US
supplied and other killing of children in Palestine, for merely
throwing stones.
There was a white washing of the American Patriots of the First
American Civil War, known as the war for independence. They were nice
terrorists, only hid behind bushes. Lets not forget Reagan compared
them to the Contras, as freedom fighters. Who is a terrorist and who
is a freedom fighter!!???
There was a deliberate distortion, when Islamic Terrorists were
compared with the KKK, an anti jewish/catholic and racist group. This
was patently absurd for in the first place, unlike the KKK, Muslim
Terrorists can read and write. They also have a deep religious
fervour, albeit misguided and misconstrued.
The only truth in the entire show was suspecting the token Muslim in
the white house of being a terrorist because he looked Arab or
swarthy. Perhaps he was a Sephardic Jew, or Latin American?
It was a typical hollywood/media hype propaganda that subverts the
truth and minds of Americans. Goebbels would be proud!!
A friend of mine's daughter and companion were in Bellingham USA,
buying gas the other day when an East Indian came in. After he left
the clerk called the local sheriff, about a suspicious Arab being
around. She wanted the girls to stay for the sheriff but they refused
and drove back over to Canada.
This is the type of result to propaganda like the West Wing. It also
results in building hate and brings death to the world, mostly women
and children…….ONS……Tony.
