This woman must have felt all those things, but if she would have acted out
of fear, this would not have been her action - she would never have stepped
in a car again, or something like it, or shout at every drunk person or
something. It was the crisis that transformed her, by going through her
fears and act positively. You are right that fear plays a part in this, but
only as the catalyst to start acting. And it was HER fear.

Installing fear in others will never work like that. That is the old way of
the church, and didn't that bring most of all oppression, and eventually a
need to find other maybe hypocritical ways to get away from that oppression,
and finally a very essential need to break free from that alltogether?

The fear to get caught while driving drunk, and losing your licence, will
work for a short while, when you have seen it happening to somebody, or it
just happened to you once, but if it doesn't get replaced by a sense of
responsibility, like this woman is trying to bring, a realization what harm
you can bring to somebody else's life, it will not stick.

Installing fear does not work, creating consciousness on something that
needs carefullness does.
