Subject: [K-list] Re Sean's concerns about yoga
From: siska
On 2001/10/02 04:18, siska posted thus to the K-list: I have to say I share Sean's concerns. I also have to say I'm bound to be biased since spontaneous K awakening for me has led to mental hospital and much illness/prolonged suicidal states. The thought of adding fuel to the fire by doing meditation/yoga/drugs intuitively filled me with horror, despite mixing with people who were doing that all around me when I was younger.
I've read many accounts all giving different experiences - at the end of the day it depends on the individual. I've read of people who have induced K - and paid a terrible price. Others who have been OK. Who am I to deny the desire to search for the divine via yoga or anything else. It's an individual choice. I would simply urge great caution - the potential force of K awakening can be devasting beyond the wildest imaginings.
