You are not alone in this.

Yes...it is part of you or you would not be having these thoughts. Go
within and get acquainted with the speaker of these thoughts. Start a
dialouge with this part of you and see what you can discover.

Hurting people is well within you...When one awakes it is time also
to make peace with our shadow side.
You can also be tapping into the collective unconsciousness, the race
mind, oranother entity. The important thing here is to realize you
are not your thoughts. Detatch and become the dispassionate observer
and be fascinated with the process.
The fact that you are surrendering may open you to these visions and
thoughts.
I can feel this energy as you speak of it. We can be part of it but
we are not it. (Well, in a way we are It but that's another story.)
